Keeping our Village clean
As a coastal community, our street litter finds its way into our streams and rivers and ultimately into the Atlantic, where it damages marine life. Plastic trash can also harm terrestrial wildlife.
Starting September 11th, 2023, you can check out the Hastings Public Library's new Cleanup Kit, and go on a productive treasure hunt with your friends or family.
The kit contains trash grabbers, plastic gloves, reporting instructions, and plastic trash bags if you need them. (Feel free to bring your own plastic bags from home.)
