September 2009 CPC Update
Draft recommendations for the Comprehensive Plan are now posted on the Village website. These recommendations were generated at the public meetings held this past spring.

These documents have been prepared to provide a preview of the Comprehensive Plan recommendations to date and to set a framework for the draft plan. It is intended for discussion purposes so that the consultants and Comprehensive Plan Committee can obtain early feedback from the Hastings community. The goal is to ensure that the draft plan will reflect the efforts and input from numerous volunteers and the public.

This fall, the CPC will hold public discussions on the draft recommendations for the comprehensive plan. The committee and their subcommittees will invite members of village staff, boards and committees to attend as well. That schedule will be available in early September.

The draft Comprehensive Plan, to be released in early 2010, will be a more advanced document with text, graphics, maps, and more (and more detailed) recommendations. These recommendations represent a work in progress. It is hoped that it will lead to more comment and input.

We are excited that after nearly two years of hard work on the part of the CPC, PPSA, the Deputy Village Manager and the residents of Hastings, we are formulating draft recommendations for the Comprehensive Plan. With your help and input, we feel that we will have a representative document that we can all be proud of and most importantly, will successfully guide Hastings-on-Hudson into the future.
